Cancellations:  As with most businesses that are paid by the hour, we ask for a 24-hour notification for cancellations on private, semi-private and self-booked group lessons. Students not giving a 24-hour notice of cancellation or failing to show up for a scheduled lesson will be charged for the entire time scheduled.  Please make any lesson cancellations via telephone and not through email. Reason: We only check email once per day, which means that the time of a cancellation made via email will be determined by the time we read it, not the time when it was sent. Consequently, if you cancel a lesson through email and we do not read it prior to the 24-hour deadline, you will be charged for the lesson. Additionally, a 2-day (48-hour) notice is required to cancel a lesson with a visiting coach/teaching pro since we must pay ALL of their expenses to bring them to our studio. Essentially, we only are paid if we teach a lesson, therefore, if you reserve a time for a lesson and do not give us required notice that you will not be able to make your appointment, we will not be able to reschedule a lesson for that time and hence will not be paid for it.  Illness and emergencies will be taken into consideration, however, if it seems to be a constant problem with an individual, couple or group, then it will no longer be considered.
